Description :	Dans chaque scène, les personnages se détachent presque en aplat sur un fond or, dans la partie supérieure, et gris dans la partie inférieure. A la manière de Puvis de Chavannes son maître, Moirod ne représente pas les ombres autour de ses personnages, mais leur donne une certaine monumentalité par des effets de drapés. Le dessin d'une grande rigueur contribue à la remarquable qualité plastique de ce chemin de croix unique dans l'île. Les encadrements en ogives initiaux (1904) sont en chêne mouluré et s'inspirent, selon les archives de la paroisse, d'un dessin de Pierre-marie Bossan, architecte de la basilique N-D de Fourvière à Lyon. Ces cadres très simples sont agrandis en 1930 sur les côtés, décorés de colonnes formant pilastres avec chapiteaux végétaux et couronnés d'un fronton surmonté d'une croix flanquée de pinacles. Ces ajouts réalisés en bois de natte ont été faits par des menuisiers de l'atelier du père Delpaorte : Albert Ferrère et Phanoé Caro.
